Ministry Opportunities

At Journey, we support a number of ministries to help disciple and grow our congregation. Please view the list below and feel free to contact any of our staff regarding these ministries.

 

JourneyKids                                                                       JourneyKids Team                 Flight456 Team

Our JourneyKids program is tailored to support parents in the spiritual development of their children. We offer programs during worship services for kids from Nursery through 6th Grade, and provide other opportunities for kids throughout the year. Our JourneyKids program develops Early Childhood & Elementary (1st-3rd) ages, and we offer a special program called Flight456 for kids in 4th-6th grades.  Contact Kelly Vernon for more information.

Summit Youth                                                                  Summit Youth Team

The Summit's "Front Porch" meets on Sundays at 9:30am and 11:00am for students 7th-12th grade.  Small groups also meet throughout the week, and a number of events occur throughout the year for students to connect and grow.  Contact Brian Clark for more info.

 

Connections                                                                   Connections Team

Journey wouldn't exist without the great work of many people who serve on our Connections Team.  Whether it's setting up & tearing down, hosting/ushering, serving at our Grand Central station, working on the support team, or helping with security, these folks help drive Journey forward each week --- and connect with each other in relationship.  We enjoy their leadership and encourge many of our new attenders to start in one of these ministries, just to help them connect.  For more information, contact Stacie Fellows. 

 

Adults & Groups                                                             Adult Team

At the core of our DNA as a church body is our Groups Ministries.  We now carry groups starting from 4th grade thru senior adult, with a variety of types and styles.  In addition, we have affinity groups such as Men's Momentum, Women's Ministry, College "The Net", Athletics, Moms Connect, etc.  These groups gather at different times of the week, for the purpose of building deeper relationships, growing in their faith, and praying for those who don't know Jesus.  See our Groups area to get involved. 

Worship                                                                                     Worship Team

Worship is not just singing to God or assembling for an hour, but a lifestyle of honor and devotion that is expressed publicly and privately. Our worship team is a ministry of service to lead as examples of worship, and serve the body in growing their expression of worship - thru the elements of music, drama, creative arts, and visual expression. Missions                                                                                    Missions Team

Our mission as part of the Kingdom is to reach all people, not just in Tracy, but in every outpost of the world. As a church, we tithe a tenth of our offerings toward missions, and have adopted these four mission targets to fulfill Jesus' 1:8 command. Tracy For Christ                                                            www.tracyforchrist.org

Journey participates with a number of other churches as part of a parachurch organization called Tracy For Christ. This group works together to hold events and activities, such as the annual Tracy National Day of Prayer and the Great Day of Service. The group meets for prayer weekly throughout the year, and works will local city leaders to support the community. Find out more at www.tracyforchrist.org
